ECT have a production plant ready to manufacture a black coal equivalent.

Time to abandon the scientific research, or at least back burner it, and market, market, market what they have.

no more refining and optimising while the market is screaming for black coal. Make do with the quality we have and generate revenue.

it may be low margin, and not gateway or ESG fashionable but it can be sold now.

Doesn't have to win the whole business, it can be supplementary, and included in a mix to extend capacity now, at the same time as making the case as a backup alternative supply for the next 5 years.

with revenue you are the free to follow the science, and indulge the greenie dream in the longer term, but on a self funded base rather than always going cap in hand to sell a future that may never eventuate.

There is a crisis, lets not waste the opportuniy.

Make and sell the product we have now unless of course phase 1 is still unproven and unprofitable, in which case better to all go home now.
