Other problems with trying draw conclusions for our conversation here is that we dont know for example how many homes that were built in the last 10 years (I just picked a number) have problems with damp.
The fact is that Building regs change over time.

The reason I went to find these things is that some here were claiming that Europeans had been builing homes for centuries and were still living in them....which they then linked to a conclusion that therefore the European methods were perfectly fine for FBR.
You correctly highlight that there is a lot of variation in building quality across Europe.
Therefore the claim that the FBR building method is perfectly fine because it is similar to what is done in Europe [1], is a seriously flawed statement which ignores the varibility in European buildings across national boundaries and over time.
