    Gee thalweg, that surprises me but then I noticed "shopping center's adjacent to a wide areas of public housing"

    Try looking in areas when people work.

    My local shopping centre is always busy and car parks full, local papers have heaps of jobs vacant.

    House prices have recovered to pre GFC averages and in my area when a for sale sign goes up it takes 1-2 weeks for the under offer or sold stickers to go. Recent reports say buyers are paying above the asking price to secure a property.

    I'm sure there are some areas that are not doing so well but that is always the case and over all the economic indicators should the economy is doing nicely
