I was pretty optimistic about the Australia tournament but I’ve got to say it has been a pretty disappointing turnout. I wouldn’t call it a failure, just not the snowballing success we were all hoping for at this stage.

That said, the Indian tournaments are yielding much higher player numbers. RS6 has spaces for 32 teams of 5 (160 players) and currently has 40 teams registered. Tekken and Dota auto chess are reaching full registrations and the PUBGM and Freefire solo tournaments are 150-250 players. All this with a much smaller cash spend on prize money than the Aus Apex. Looking at 500-1000 competitors (plus stream viewers) for less than $1000AUD in prize money. Very, very cost-effective in my view.

In all I cant say Mogul’s execution has been flawless in building its user base but I think it is on the right track. I’d like to see a bit more communication about where they are going in the next 6-12 months but otherwise they just need to keep on getting the platform out there and building that awareness to attract some more big-name partners.
