I can tell you the following negatives:
-Chatkal Valley is a remote and expensive to explore part of the world. Mountain passes are closed for 4 or 5 months of the year.
-trenches don't mean much, there is a problem with surface enrichment in this part of the world
-the geologists who did the 1950's work were of a high calibre and if there was an obvious ore body they would have found it. I'm not saying there's not an ore body there, but I am saying that people who were experienced in the area and good geo's decided that those trenches weren't encouraging enough. Drilling is required just to get the encouragement that is currently not really there
-skarn ore bodies are tricky and rarely come out big enough to make it worth your while in such a remote mountainous area

    Positives:
-the 1950's geo's did not have access to some of the geological models that are standard today, such as porphyry copper, so they may have missed something. But if NMR wre using that logic they would have talked up the geology in their announcement. This they did not do.
