...just happened to catch a doco about Indo nickel this arvo...it's no secret that apart from the deforestation, there are serious consequences to the local communities of farmers and fisherman living downstream of the processors...it also highlighted the fact that most of the mines are owned and overseen by the Chinese and they're basically locked compounds run like slave labour camps with no regard to the workers safety or basic human rights...
...also said things ain't gunna slow down any time soon and plans are to ramp up the HPAL plants from the existing 3 to 20...
