As shareholders of an Australian Company who has invested many millions of dollars capital in the Atzam field in your Country,
we are appealing to you as a leader of the EITI to investigate Latin American Resources as operator of this important field.
It has taken 2 years to drill one very important well - Atzam 5 - where at the "spudding" your Government was represented to witness.
This field is important to your Country as it gives high tax returns due to high quality oil as compared to Rubelsanto.
Why give the continued rights to LAR who have performed poorly over many years and have legal problems with previous owners.
More importantly Citation Resources ( CTR:ASX ) who own 60% of the field cannot get production figures from this group ( LAR ) -as we understand this.
As well as this, the CTR Auditor is unable to obtain important financials from LAR as reported to the Australian Stock Exchange ( ASX ).
Citation Resources as we understand it have real concerns here, as they wish to obtain finance to develop the field substantially.
We are sure CTR will find an operator who works with your EITI principles who CTR would sign up to.
