I hope anyone thinking of entering wasn't put of by Reddragon's posts. Especially when it transpired his assertions and justifications put, proved rather vague and not deeply researched.

I'm guessing that the many institutions that have been in defensive mode, and are now caught with a strongly rising gold price and the prospect of it going much higher. And they are substantially short quality gold stocks. They have to get in the market, and they are not going to park it in the speculative end. Many can't because of their covenants.

They'll be all over stocks like BDR, for all the reasons articulated by regulars on this forum.

And it's totally naive to imply that the quality institutions backing BDR are not cognisant of the risks and the rewards of their chunky investments.

Many here have long held BDR waiting for the stars to align and will now be taking considerable satisfaction in their good judgement.
