First time poster usually just have a read but saw a poster above comparing Afterpay and Zip as actual products. I think Afterpay is incredibly limited so for example if you want an item worth 4000 dollars you need to pay a thousand dollars a fortnight to pay it back. For a lot of people that is quite a lot of money and not something they are willing to do.

Meanwhile that same item might be available via Zip for 30-40 dollars a fortnight for a longer time. I noticed Bunnings the other day were exclusively offering Zip and not Afterpay. I think as time goes on Zip will become the more obvious choice for most people but the reality is most people are only just starting to learn about it within the past 6-12 months.
