Hi Pinto and other holders,
What an amazing week or two it has been!
I have just returned home from a week in sunny Queensland. 25 every day, sun, sun and more sun!
Glad to see things are normal at home, it's raining here and only 12 degrees
I paid up some of my partly paid shares yesterday (BRBCA) as they were lagging behind the FPO by some 20c at least. On top of that i tried to scoop some more up but got rejected by etrade as the price i was bidding was going to move the market by more than 10%. Seriously? You'd think they would have a better system of verifying what is a realistic bid and one that is trying to move the market!
Anyway, i transfered some money this afternoon to another account and will try again tomorrow.
I must say that i am still a little surprised we ordinary sh didn't get a look in this time but agree that at least it's done and the $ are in the bank (subject to clearance of funds)
I also echo the thoughts of others, hoping the new holders do exactly that, hold. At least in the short term.
Where to now? I haven't a clue. I'm glad that we held our ground on open this morning. Better than that, we finished another 10% up
As some here would know, i have held for many years and was lucky to pick up FPO's and Partly Paid Shares for very cheap prices. For a long time i thought i was posting stuff here just to myself (although aussiepaul assured me someone was listening).
It was good enough for Tom to buy on market several times in 2014, underwrite the previous CR, buy all his allocations each time he raised (perhaps he couldn't afford to this time and that's why we got overlooked?) and now it appears clear why he did so.
The other thing i was impressed with was that each CR (except today's) was always very modest. He seeked and obtained co-funding, got a $1.8m refund for exploration undertaken and has only ~125m shares on issue after being around for 4 -5 years. How many other hopefuls can claim that!
The patience and groundwork undertaken before holes were drilled were worth the wait and not only did they preserve funds, it vindicates the measured approach Tom has taken with this project.
I look forward to seeing where this will settle. In the meantime, it's nice to look at my portfolio page every now and then ...
Good luck to new and old holders. This has been a once in a lifetime ride!
Perdy
