By monitoring, the kids dont feel closed off from the rest of the world and it gives them trust. Meanwhile you still know if anything is happening and cant steps to mitigate it.

Personally i think we say "no" to our kids enough so being able to communicate openly with them is a bug step in the right direction.

Just have a quick look around and count how many kids are outside playing and not clasping tight a small rectangle device these days!
