new home sales extend deep slump, page-3

New homes sales 'slumping' isn't good for employment with trades and the suppliers of building products/services.
But I'm sure that's not why the article was posted. It was to show the lack of demand for dwellings. Well, there is a silver lining. Less stock being added to the already overloaded supply.
I always wondered how this country seemed to be on an eternal building spree.

Also, I could not resist borrowing this from the article. Cheers ;)

HIA's Mr Dale said the slowing economy may make it relatively good time to build or buy.
??A competitive building market, less pressure on skilled trades, and steady interest rates combine to mean that if you?re in a financially sound position to do so, now is a particularly good time to build new home,?? Dr Dale said.
