It does not matter if it is our most valuable industry or not. Western countries not using coal is a moral obligation. Developing countries still using it should be allowed or the west subsidising developing would to use renewables is an acceptable solution. I would not agree with anyone who would continue to allow developed nations to use coal. Its like riding on the titanic and doing nothing.
Coal should be phased out.
By 2040 NHC would be out of coal anyway.
