On Tuesday 10 August online, 'The Australian' reports the latest NAB business confidence index, finding that metric has plummeted 'except in mining where it remains elevated'. The drop is a consequence of lockdowns in Melbourne (was Victoria), Sydney and (was) Brisbane.
If NAB had exclusively asked coal miners rather than 'miners' in general, the index would shoot through the roof!
