I was thinking about New Hope in what would it take
For them to sell. But it occurred to me they are
Better of not selling. They have so much cash on
Hand that selling for say a 10 or 20 percent premium
After years of holding isnt much of a return for them.
However, if LB can mop up all the outstanding shares,
This would allow Nh to go private with LB as major
Partner. In this way, NH gets a direct 17% interest in the
Asset as opposed to an undervalued Takeover. In reality
I think this is the best option for them to, as they have the
Cash to contribute their share of expenditure, and will get
A much better return long term. Plus they already have a minority
Board position in Neale, so business as usual for NH, just a
Much better piece of pie. In summary, this would mean
No compulsory and potentially only moderate sweetener, if
Any. Thoughts on this possibility?
