A while back there was a stock on thee ASX (no I don't remember which), where a full takeover couldn't occur because of the blocking stake.
The people who sold earily landed up with let's say $1.00 a share. the people who didn't landed up with somewhere north of 10 times that amount a few years later when a deal was finally cut to buy the rest of the shares.
