The philippines seems to be a horror story for human rights, along with many other countries. Brave people who stand up for their beliefs deserve much better treatment. I lived in Russia for a year - so many journalists murdered there by hitmen - when it suited government??? or special interests. Many of these were really brave people who were willing to die for their country's interests.
You would think it would be rare for westerners to get involved in horrific nonsense like that, other than occasionally as targets. There may be some attempts to paint OGC as being involved - but I will not believe that - neither will many locals, or government IMO.
