asteroid, I haven't seen any data on the age of the oil @ Blina but it is suspected to have either, migrated from deeper zones up the Pinnicle fault OR sourced insitu. As Roger Meanie said in his report "Empirical evidence suggests that mature source rocks are present in the area.". One possibly from the Clanmyer formation of the Fairfield group.

Remember, we're talking about a reef trend where debris collected around and behind the reef (talus slope) over along time period, this included organic rich muds etc.

There's oil at Blina BUT the Embayment slopes updip towards the Harold reef trend, and possibly into the Onlap play!

NDO / KIK are looking at a similar but larger reef trend play in the Palawan.
