    Well it's a bit perverse but very simple:

    CE buy shares at 11p
    Spread is 13.5p - 14.25p

    CE says to clients, "we commend this share to you, normal offer is 14.5p but we can give you a discount at 13.85p."

    25% profit. That's what they do.
