For sure. There are a whole bunch of startups that I'm sure won't go the full distance.
That said, there is plenty going on in the background out of sight of the media. Rivian was unknown to the public until recently. They have been operating for about ten years. Even Sony has recently built an ev. More to show off it's technology than anything else but it demonstrates how the auto industry is being flipped on it's head.
The Neuron cab design won't suit a lot of people but it might suit the commercial world. That's the great thing about the ev platform. It is much more flexible and adaptable than an ice version.
