"All Senators to solely represent the interests of their respective States & no Ministers in the Senate, just a ministerial rep."
I wonder if Ministers should be elected representatives at all -
ie. neither House of Reps or Senators
I think we limit ourselves greatly to the duds we have elected - and, one look about Parliament house doesn't exactly fill any of us to the brim with confidence
so - why not have the ability to draw on the largest pool of all --
our citizens -
leave the politics to the duds and boneheads ------------ get the quality from where it really lies ------------outside of politics
I would - as AI becomes actually smart (not in this baby stage) - use AI to think through decisions and ideas - then, Ministers to make decisions -
then, put those forward to the elected representatives - as a parliament to vote on them
in an OPEN process - so that any boofheads voting against such recommendations and thoughts stand up to be seen and counted
Ministers to be fully protected by being isolated from political interference
we have to find a way to ditch the input from the idiots we are electing - they are basically just a clusteroot time and time over looking for when and where to happen
