I would suggest that clean coal program is designed at retaining Australia’s lucrative coal export industry alive in the face of a carbon constrained world. UCG may benefit but private industry needs to provide $2 for every $1 the government provides. MEE has $2 million that would get them $1 million in grants. They need to raise more money.
