Not trying to cross-promote but a company i have been following, Australia's Talga Resources has developed a graphite anode that can enable a lithium-ion battery to charge from 0-100% in less than 3 minutes.

It's been said that lithium solid-state batteries could take about 5-10 years to reach mainstream application so till then something like this could easily fill the gap in the market. I can see the day when charging an EV may be quicker than filling up!
