The London Metals Exchange is attempting to develop an exchange/index for EV battery metals including lithium. Unsurprisingly, given the nature of lithium chemicals, they are finding this challenging.
They have selected three price reporting agencies (PRAs) to make presentations to the LME and are calling for industry comment.
The three presentations have been uploaded to Vimeo, and are, I believe a must view.
Each runs for about 20 minutes
Hopefully, if this is successful, it will remove the opacity that is resulting in ill-informed or (or uninformed) market "analysts" announcing that the sky is falling when the China Spot price takes a dip.
