The importance of this cannot be overemphasised in my opinion. China is now dictating the terms to ALL the world's vehicle manufacturers. The time pressure has just been increased.

In 2017, China sold 36.6% of all the world's new vehicles, no other market came close. The newly announced changes to legislation will force global manufacturers to move to NEVs in order to maintain relevance.
