The real message is getting through at last.

Lithium is NOT a commodity in the "traditional" sense. Battery grade lithium is a range of specific chemical products tailored to the customer, the price is increasing for producers that have relationships with end users and the contracts reflect this fact.

Supply is not rising anywhere near fast enough to match demand and the investment required and time required to ramp up QUALITY battery grade supply strongly suggests a shortfall, not an oversupply of battery grade lithium product.

GXY is one of the few producers ahead of the curve in all aspects:

. Technical knowledge and capability
. Quality resources
. Both hard rock spodumene and quality brine
. Financially assured development, debt free.
. Proven ability to supply
. Solid marketplace relationships.

This is not just a "dig it up and ship it" product. Spot market prices are almost totally irrelevant.

The shorting activity has been driven by market ignorance, fear engendered by viewing a specialist range of chemicals as just another mineral/metal commodity without understanding the product that is required by the EV and electrical storage revolution.

Lack of transparency in pricing, and a reliance on asian spot market indicators which have no bearing on the real product price has distorted perception.

Standby for a re-evaluation of the whole Li sector and a far more critical look at the companies involved. Just having a tenement with a large pegmatite or brine resource, even if you can get finance to get it out of the ground, does not make your company capable of supplying quality battery grade product. It's barely even a start.
