Remember that the Trading Economics website used to have the lithium 'price' based on the LIT ETF? Well, now it does have a 'spot price', based on "a contract for difference (CFD) that tracks the benchmark market... based on spot prices for Lithium Carbonate, 99.5% Li2CO3 min, battery grade, traded in China". Hopefully this chart shows we are at the bottom of the cycle, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part as we still don't know the full impact of COVID-19. The one-year chart is shown below. Note that this is in CNY (Chinese Yuan), approx. 1 CNY = 0.23 AUD.
