re:snooker - continuing lows for fullguy/henty
On a serious note, Snooks, yes, a long time ago. I thought of going when I was younger and a lot of people (mainly maidens) went to do their kibbutz thing. Alas, the atmosphere now would be considerably different. I would love to see Bethlehem and Jerusalem, I think,but would be saddened to see the pock-marks made by bullets on the ancient architecture.
I felt like that recently on our European holiday, when we visited Hungary - the beautiful old cathedrals still marked by gunfire from WW2 ( compliments of the Yanks, I was told). If only people could shoot people when necessary without destroying history...lol.
