i also noticed the market depth of UMC. I looked at it earlier today and it was actually 80k v 651k.

I almost fell out of my chair - the buyers only ranked 9 deep as opposed to the normal top 10 on commsec. i think there were about 15 orders all up.

after a few minutes, and endless refresh clicks, the buy side got to 117k.

just goes to show how spooked this market is.
we got 111.7mt DSO resource in the centre of australia's iron ore hub, a dozen potential drilling targets in the same area, about to be added to the asx300 and there's still 6 sellers for every buyer.
thats just plain ridiculous...

where are the instos and the big buyers??
