I think it's very over the top, but it's the way all publicly listed companies seem to operate..
It should be a base salary of 200k only with a clause stating an overall package review once performance is proven. It's a joke all these 'executives' get the silver spoons given to them before doing anything.
Everybody 'infers' executives will do a good job, but look at how many companies there are on the ASX and how many of these executives actually do a good job and provide appropriate returns to share holders.
I'd say <10%.
