Are we looking at the same numbers? Those numbers are rough in my opinion. The Fund of Fund index was down 1.41% While this outperforms the S&P by about 20bps for the month, it is still a tough figure and a tough environment.
It will be interesting to see how LHP has performed against this figure and more importantly the YTD figure, which according to Barclay Hedge for the FOF Index is down 58bps against, while the S&P is up 6%.
If LHP is closer to the 6% figure YTD, I would think they would be in good shape as their peers are obviously not performing.
Decent (or at least better performance than peers) in combination with the recent mandate wins should be good for some more additions from new investors who may look to rotate out of their current investments and into something that is performing.
