The world '' claimed '' among other things , that there was a 4% mortality in over 60's males, and at the time , different mortality and morbidities for various other groups. Not your hysterical cry.

Now , public health , vaccination , antivirals and changes in icu treatments have dramatically decreased mortality numbers.
All of the benefits of these interventions weren't available or understood at the start.
But thick people , bray ''we told you so , it wasn't that bad''.
Frankly it might have been a lot worse , or it might not have been.
Some things were done that with hindsight were not as good as others.
Wish they had used steroids earlier in Italian icu's
They could have got immunisation going earlier .
They could have recognised aerosol spread as being the main game a little earlier.

But basically , the best apparent evidence available at the time was used.
As more evidence became apparent [ steroids in treatment for instance] , interventions changed.

Luckily , idiots like you and crackpot , were kept a long way away from the action.

Now claiming it was the best advice at the time is a stitchup. The no jab/no job policy, was that health advice also. You have been stooged.
