I was trawling through the latest international mega project contract awards after work today, and I came across this gem:
Notice of Contract Award – For Provision of Project Communication System at the Hong Kong International Airport (PRO/T512/16/JM)
Notice is hereby given that Airport Authority of HKIA Tower, 1 Sky Plaza Road, Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau, Hong Kong has awarded a contract for Provision of Project Communication System at the Hong Kong International Airport (Tender Ref: PRO/T512/16/JM) to Aconex (HK) Limited at 11/F, 111 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong on 9 November 2016. The estimated contract value for the period commencing from 14 November 2016 to the date of the Completion Certificate which will be followed by a subscription service for a period of 10 years is HK$41.5M.
Procurement was by way of an open tender.
This a new 10 year mega project for Aconex, which looks to have been inked about two weeks ago. Not sure why it has not been announced to the market, after all it is worth about $7 mill over 10 years to ACX . Could be that they are continuing with their under promise, over deliver approach. Anyway, this should help both the top and bottom lines.
