Not really the same.
NextDC's offering in Canberra is connectivity via its AXONVX virtual fabric back to the Sydney/Melbourne regions, it will still be useful for that task. And NXT benefits by hosting the Regions within its DC's.
This is about actual local hosting. The workloads, storage will be hosted in CDC.
This could have 2 effects on NXT.
1) One it improves overall the Microsoft Ecosystem which benefits NXT by hosting other regions.
2) Negatively, more of the Canberra market (namely lucrative Government spend) could end up being hosted in CDC as opposed to NEXTDC C1.
