To me this is a poor deal for Australian shareholders. NCM is in the top 10 gold mining companies in the world and gold is becoming increasingly important again which is proven by the amount of gold being bought by central banks of many countries over the last couple of years. I believe NCM is an important company and should stay in Australian hands, however the largest shareholders are the big American funds/banks that are driving this t/o imo. Their mo has been drive the share price down of all the companies in the sector and emerge as the dominant payer, which has happened. It stinks and our idiot government and regulators just stand by and let it happen. Once it's gone, it's gone for good.
