Given that Wall Street was closed overnight we are having a plain packaging Tuesday cranker with no frills whatsoever

Frippery though,ah well yes why not.

Today marks the anniversary of the end of
shoe rationing in the US 1945.Prior to this date
each man woman and child was rationed to 3 pairs
of leather shoes per year.

Men didn't give a damn

and women tried not to hyperventilate and became
inventive as is their wont.

On to things market,spare a thought for those
of us long suffering holders of QBE.It a bugger when
the light at the end of the tunnel turns
out to be an oncoming train:)
