Not trying to start anything here, but thinking that there was pain relief shown in the rats might be considered anthropomorphism, as animals do what they have to do to get the job done. I would think that it does cause less pain, considering the swift and free movements shown by the rat, but I wonder if they have any way of actually knowing about the pain associated with it, like thru brain waves. Amazing stuff Gan_Gans.
