The reason I mentioned it was to draw attention to the fact that EOS aren't the only organisation with technology. Take for example the post by the boy named Sue in reference to drone defence. EOS are not the only ones and that's why I made mention of N.G. Gotta balance these things out. No point every single one of us saying "yep...we've got the best technology in the world". It might be good, but it doesn't mean that it will still be cutting edge technology in two years time when there's other players out there with massive R&D budgets.
Ok, back to the Space Junk. I brought this upon myself, so I'll respond.
I agree with you that the Nova "trial" isn't any serious threat. Agree 100%.
The reason that I wholeheartedly agree with you is because EOS have built up their space junk tracking database over a very, very long period of time. In that time, they've proved that they have been unable to commercialise their technology to the point that any revenue has been material. Just look at previous reports as evidence and the revenue that their space sector was bringing in. It was also touched upon at one of their recent presentations. It may've been the AGM where Glen Tindall spoke of the difficulties of monetising their technology. I think he may've even touched upon the "split" between EOS and Lockheed. I stand to be corrected on this as I'm only going from memory and not revisiting reports, webcasts etc.
So, it's difficult to see something as a threat when EOS haven't been able to capitalise in the first instance. But what has happened, is that as there's been a greater awareness of the risks of space pollution, it has resulted in others looking closely at it. Now that potentially is a risk if you believe that EOS have some sort of advantage in monetisation of tracking of space junk. Here's an example for you;

There's plenty more literature out there. My whole point of this long winded post is that people shouldn't get too caught up with something that they believe may only exist in their backyard.
You might recall how the market responded to the announcement from EOS regarding their "Guide Star Laser" on April 9, 2021.
As for the first part of my response about Northrup Grumman and their multi, high powered lasers, then yup. That's a serious threat.
