Isn’t this technology “back to the future” as in radio waves UHF were used by the now defunct Space Fence from 1959-2013.
The latest Space Fence started operations in 2020 and involves EOS Learmonth WA facility and Kwajalein Atoll using Laser technology.
I don’t see this Nova “trial” as any serious threat.
