The International Sales and Business Development Manager Vitamin D will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing a Sales and Business Development Plan for our Vitamin D products in the diagnostic and research market, in line with the company’s overall strategy.



Your Function:

• Your mission is to aggressively grow the Vitamin D business line in the coming years in line with the business plan of the company and with specific attention to profitability and market trends
• You are responsible for leading and expanding our sales of the Vitamin D Assays in the IVD market worldwide (direct sales, distributors and OEM deals).
• You develop business through collaborations with other IVD companies that are looking to develop Vitamin D assays on their automated instruments. You negotiate and close licensing agreements with these companies for the use of our patented monoclonal antibodies in their assays.
• Together with our internal team consisting of scientists, marketing, .. you develop a clear strategy to grow revenue in the life sciences market with our RUO products for Mineral and bone Metabolism (Free Vitamin D and other Vitamin D products).
• You maintain a view on competitor’s activities and significant changes in the market, provide strategic market feedback to senior management, and identify new market opportunities that will affect future product developments.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Five to ten years of relevant industry experience in sales and business development in an IVD company with international presence
• An experience in the sales of Vitamin D assays is a plus
• Scientific background or exposure relevant for the position
• Strong relationship builder with a good level of emotional intelligence and a talent to understand and connect to customer needs
• Self-driven, charismatic personality who feels at home in an international business environment and with decision makers in larger companies
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity as required to work in a job with international contacts
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Multilingual: English (fluent), French or other languages
• Located in our Head Quarters in Louvain-la-Neuve but ready to travel as required by the job
