The West.com.au:"A new opinion poll has reaffirmed the ALP's dominance over the coalition and suggests female voters are giving Prime Minister Julia Gillard a lift.

The Essential Media poll, released yesterday, mirrored the latest Newspoll, showing the ALP in front of the coalition 55-45 on a two-party preferred count.

Labor's primary vote was steady on 41 per cent and the coalition's vote fell one point to 39 per cent, according to Essential Media.

Newspoll had the ALP on a primary vote of 42 compared with the coalition's 38 per cent.

The Greens continue to perform well, recording 13 per cent with Essential and 12 per cent on Newspoll."
