From this mornings Brisbane Courier Mail.
' Imagine a battery which could supply power for 50 years.
Its the stuff of scinece fiction now but work on such a divice, as small as a laptop computer, is underway and could revolutionise the energy sector.
Linc Energy boss Peter Bond believes such a great leap forward could be as close as 5 to 10 years away.
"There's active research on that, somthing big enough to run a house, factory or car". Mr Bond said, "That will be the next big point of difference going forward".
Linc has its own ambitious alternate energy plans. It is conducting research in Switerland on a waste to power unit which converts rubbish to gas. Mr Bond said that such a scheme could be operational in Australia within 3 years.
Mr. Bond will speak at the Urban Development Institue of Australia's 3 day national congress in Brisbane, starting next Wednesday. '
Well that is all news to me ???
The best part about that story is that he will be in Brisbane NEXT week. Must mean that he is currently in Alaska watching our oil flowing !!!!
