The scammers (mainly Chinese) have always been about a decade ahead of Australian governments. And not by accident....just incompetence at best, or lame connivance. Don't suppose the government will be looking at 'new' Australian citizens and residents in recent years and comparing reported income with properties in their names....money flow from overseas into accounts they have access to....etc. I'd like to see ethnic restaurants audited and agent monitored as well...just in case there are hundreds doing money laundering.....And I'd really like to see Australian Customs opening each and every suitcase that enters the country, along with every shipping container. With substantially increased fines and jail terms attached.
