I'm not quite following. Pointerra manage unusable large scale data sets i.e. raw data captured from the point cloud. There's a couple of solid posts by jamesworrell / GF on what Pointerra do.

As for NEA being redundant technology, I think that's a big statement considering how widespread the product is. I'm not a holder of NEA but I actually really rate the company and Rob Newman. After all, he is the reason I invested in 3DP originally. He did help develop 3DP, was the executive chairman and is still a shareholder.
