Interest Group 'Naamik qujaannarpunga' will Wednesday afternoon again draw attention to the fact that supporters of the group is against Siumut principle motions to repeal the highly controversial zero tolerance policy towards uranium and other radioactive minerals in mineral extraction.

It takes the form of a demonstration prior to Inatsisartut 2 treatment - and thus determining treatment - the principle of the motion Thursday.

According to 'Naamik qujaannarpunga' is the purpose of the demonstration to convey the following messages to Inatsisartut with the hope that each member will take these into consideration in the debate:

The decision to cancel the zero tolerance exposed.
To Naalakkersuisut implement systematic, unbiased and understandable information and debate campaign before a decision is made.
That it is important to respect and comply with the provisions on public participation in accordance with the rights of indigenous peoples to their free, prior and informed consent.
That 'Naamik qujaannarpunga' calls for attention to be focused on other opportunities within the mining sector, which is not limited by zero tolerance rather than putting uranium production as their first priority.
Demonstration-march starts Wednesday at 16:30 at the assembly Amisut the direction of the building where Inatsisartut meeting room is.

The fact that uranium mining can not be considered as any other mineral extraction.
