New PUREGraphite Facebook Page mentions TESLA

I was sent this link last night. Looks like Novonix's PUREgraphite has begun marketing their highly purified Graphite Anode and setup a new Facebook Page.

Interestingly, on the 10th of February the company posted that their new Graphite material will reduce EV charge times from over an hour to less than 10 minutes. This would be revolutionary for the Automotive Industry let alone for Electricity Grid installations.

Then two days later the company specifically mentions Tesla, that their fastest charging network, the super chargers at best can only charge a Tesla in 1h and 15min.

A contract to supply Tesla with PUREgraphite anode material would be a game changer.

Then on the 20th of February an update on the 1,000tpa PUREgraphite plant, where one of the most important stages of the process was completed this week.

One of the biggest challenges for EVs is fast charging. Tesla offers the fastest charging system through their network of super chargers but these systems only charge at 1.25C for the first 50% and 0.6C for the last 50% for a total charge time of about 1h and 15 mins. Charge rate is limited by the graphite anode material and efforts to replace graphite either result in a large penalty in energy density and/or battery life. Graphite materials that exhibit faster charge rate are a key focus of PUREgraphite’s R&D efforts.
