Soil Sub Technologies Appoints New Managing Director
Soil Sub Technologies Limited (ASX:SOI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Terence Timms as
the Managing Director of the Company.
Mr Timms, who has been serving as a non-executive director on the board of Soil Sub Technologies, will
take up the role of Managing Director from 12 September 2008.
Mr Timms is currently Chairman of the Timms Cho Group Limited, a company with extensive interests in
China.
Soil Sub Technologies Chairman, Mr Graeme Scott said that, “Mr Timms’ wealth of global experience
means he is very well placed to provide the Company with great insight into industry-related issues and the
management requirements of the Company”.
“Mr Timms has had a close association with Soil Sub Technologies over the past few years and has been
instrumental in helping us to forge our strong and fruitful relationships in China. He will be an excellent
leader for Soil Sub Technologies as we work towards the delivery of some critical business milestones over
the coming months,” Mr Scott said,
Previously, Mr Timms was the Asia Pacific Vice President for Operations of Mincom Limited, which is
Australia’s largest provider of specialist services to global mining. Mr Timms has had extensive executive
mining experience throughout Australia, South America, South Africa, Chile and the US working with
companies such as BHP Billiton, Western Mining Corporation, and Rio Tinto.
Mr Timms brings to the Company extensive experience in project management, strategic business
assessments, business continuity planning, and international business relations.
Mr James Callianiotis will take up the newly established role of Marketing Director.
Mr Scott said Mr Callianiotis has had many years experience in strategic market planning and new market
penetration.
“The Board thanks James for his contribution to Soil Sub Technologies to date. This new role will play to his
strengths and, in this capacity, I’m certain that he will play a large part in achieving the Company’s
objectives in the earliest possible time” he said.
Mr Callianiotis will remain on the Board as an Executive Director.
