I just saw your question now.. Without looking what was POG on the 25th, I'd say price of gold must have fallen and perhaps markets were volatile.
As you can see POG is still on the nose so share in most gold miners are down if you compare them to couple of weeks ago.
so, nothing to do with ALK or at least I don't think has anything to do with ALK specific.
