I'd say $2 is a very very long way away. Both the broker reports "think" ALK will issue shares at either .30 or .50cents, which is at least 50% higher than the bid right now.
I'm not convinced that issuing 600million shares is a viable option for the long term investors. Surely this project is good enough for a book build at .50c to 70c once the Zirconium offtakes are announced.
Tell me that Ian Gandel the billionaire mining investor want that type of dilution and make ALK a day traders paradise?
Keep it tight and keep it simple!
Or sell the DZP via an IPO and an in specie distribution.
ALK holders will also have the RIGHT to stump up the cash. To me this IS the logical way to realise its value because we all know our gold business is worth more than .25c right now.
