I would add to my post above, that when Appian sold their 19.9% shareholding to Shenge, that there was silence from management for some time, not an ecstatic reponse to the statement, which there would have been, had it been welcome news. Apart from management of Peak, I don't think we have much clarity about the discussions with the Tanzanian government, regarding processing within Tanzania, and no doubt without Shenge's intervention there would have been some difficult conversations anyway. But with Shenge needing feedstock for their processing plant in China, this was always going to produce friction with Tanzania, which is why I think the ML took so long to sort out.
With Teeside out of the equation ( and don't forget that Pensana - now ex ASX - is constructing a refinery at Saltends, so it can't be claimed that Shenge's knowledge and technology is essential) most RE refining will continue to remain in China. There are exceptions of course, but with say 90% of RE refining in China, and with export restrictions by China to the West, it is beginning to look like a bit of a closed market. This at a time when Europe in particular, is expanding its EV prouction - with some hiccups admittedly
